Cancellation Policy & Waver Information
At Starfish Villa, we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional stay experience. We understand, however, that unforeseen circumstances may arise that could affect your booking with us. Below is our Cancellation Policy, which includes provisions for cancellation waivers under certain conditions.
Cancellation Policy
Our standard policy requires that any cancellation of your reservation must be made at least 90 days prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a full refund. Cancellations made after this period may be subject to partial refunds or forfeiture of the deposit, depending on the timing and circumstances of the cancellation:
- Cancel between 60 and 89 days before check-in, and receive 50% of the amount paid.
- Cancel less than 60 days before check-in and receive 0% of the amount paid.
Cancellation Waivers
In certain situations beyond your control, we may be able to offer a cancellation waiver. This waiver serves to prevent any negative impact on your booking status and is considered on a case-by-case basis for the following eligible reasons:
- Natural Disasters: Should your planned stay be interrupted by a natural event such as hurricanes, earthquakes, or other major environmental disruptions, we will automatically apply a waiver to your cancellation. Please reach out to us within 7 days of such an event if you haven’t received confirmation of the waiver.
- Property Damage: In the unlikely event that Starfish Villa sustains damage which renders it unsafe or unsuitable for guests, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide full documentation, ensuring transparency and an expedited resolution.
- House Rules Violation: If a guest is unable to adhere to our House Rules and chooses not to initiate a cancellation, we will review the situation, and a waiver may be applied following our internal protocols.
- Financial Delinquency: If a guest fails to complete the necessary payments for their booking, we will engage in direct communication to resolve the matter. Cancellations resulting from unresolved payment issues may be eligible for a waiver.
- Change of Ownership: In the event that Starfish Villa changes ownership and reservations must be canceled, guests will be fully refunded and assisted in finding alternative accommodations.
- Inability to Accept Booking: If we are unable to accept a booking request due to site errors, House Rules violations, or natural disasters, we may issue a ‘Booking Request Decline Waiver’ to avoid any penalties on our ranking or standing.
